Successful Swine Vaccinology Summit in Da Nang

Ceva’s commitment to the continues improvement of animal health professionals in the swine industry is clearly evident through our events and seminars hosted across the world.

From March 21st to 23rd, Ceva Asia hosted its Swine Vaccinology Summit in Vietnam. Around 175 key swine veterinarians from across the region attended this event in Da Nang. They listened to interesting presentations delivered by  professor Dr. Sanipa Suradhat from the Chulalongkorn University (Bangkok, Thailand) about swine immunology and vaccinology, professor Tanja Opriessnig's (Iowa State University & University of Edinburgh) update on PCV2 and Dr. Dan Tucker's (University of Cambridge) view on the future of swine health. As internal speakers, Metta Makhanon, Roman Krejci, Ben Kadra and Sandy Micout brought the audience up-to-date regarding our key swine vaccines, vaccine production and our innovative vaccine applicator Smartvac.

Besides the high-quality scientific presentations, the attendees were treated to a visit to the Unesco World Heritage Site Hoi An, as well as invited to a gala dinner at Da Nang beach. In summary, the event offered Ceva the opportunity to contribute to the level of swine vaccine knowledge of veterinarians across Asia, as well as to spend time with our key customers in the region.
